Data Engineer






As a data engineer, you will play an instrumental role in Catasys team’s ability to help our members recover and lead meaningful, healthy lives. You will be a key player in our ongoing effort to develop data-based solutions that support our clinical teams and core business processes.


You will help drive continuous improvement in our data architecture, including development and maintenance of our business-critical data infrastructure as well as research and development environments for data science and artificial intelligence applications. You will maintain and create scripts for extracting, transforming, synchronizing and loading data throughout our operational data pipeline and and data warehouse structures. You will assist in creating new solutions which will further sustain our incredible growth in the coming year.


You will assist in the design, development and implementation of valuable business solutions by preparing and cleaning data, designing and coding decision support systems and measuring their performance. You will interpret data from multiple sources including external business partners and be responsible delivery of the data to the appropriate operational source.

Gathering, cleaning, managing, and maintaining high quality data


Designing features from rich data available from many sources


Assisting in Develops functions including working within agile teams to create necessary scripting to move and manipulate data across multiple environments.


Participating in the automation of currently manual processes involving the production environment.


Candidate will follow existing SDLC/Best Practice policies to ensure that artifacts created are supportable and mature.


Developing Python based scripts to support extract transform and load (ETL) functionalities within the enterprise.


Developing scripts within agile project team and leveraging best practices for development


Assuring that error recovery, logging and best practices are adhered to within the development process.





Requirements



  • Bachelor’s degree in technology-based discipline

  • 3 + years of experience in development

  • Fluency in Python and SQL

  • Familiarity with ETL processes

  • Knowledge of best practices within development process including SDLC

  • Experience working in mature information system environments

  • Experience working within a defined SDLC

  • Understanding of best practices within the development process

  • Experience with continuous delivery/continuous improvement processes and tooling

  • Able to multitask, prioritize and manage time effectively

  • Creative problem solver who thrives when presented with a challenge

  • Encouraging to team and staff; able to mentor and lead. Goal-orientated.

  • Up-to-date on latest industry trends; able to articulate trends and potential clearly and confidently

  • Able to work in a fast-paced environment

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Preferred:



  • Experience with Pig, Hive or Spark

  • Salesforce experience

  • Strong collaboration skills

  • Critical thinking skills, troubleshooting and root cause identification, and problem solve
