Mattermost is seeking a Manager, Total Rewards to help develop, manage, and maintain our total rewards programs that help to make Mattermost a Destination Workplace. This role will manage the design and delivery of compensation, benefits, and perk programs for our global workforce to support employee engagement and performance, organizational goals, and business results. The Manager, Total Rewards will partner with managers, leadership, and recruitment to lead job evaluation and advise on compensation and benefits strategies to support talent acquisition and retention. 



Responsibilities



    • Develop partnerships with key organizational stakeholders to ensure operational effectiveness in order to scale the team’s impact to support Mattermost’s continued growth

    • Lead the design and delivery of compensation programs in support of Mattermost’s overall rewards strategy and ensure alignment with Mattermost’s goals

    • Develop, administer, and maintain total rewards program for a global workforce including: salary structures, bonus programs, sales compensation plans, equity grants, incentive programs, global benefits

    • Monitor external trends and developments; provide proactive guidance to ensure our total rewards programs are competitive

    • Manage compensation and benefits compliance with all global legislative requirements

    • Participate in competitive market studies and surveys, research and develop solutions based on best practices, boring solutions, trends, local legislation and feedback from our staff across the globe

    • Develop training and communications to educate key stakeholders on Mattermost’s compensation strategy

    • Design and implement processes that will scale in a growing, globally distributed, remote organization

    • Consistently evaluate existing total rewards programs to identify opportunities based on current trends and best practices

    • Provide regular support and general compensation consulting to the HR team and senior leaders in areas such as market pay and analysis and consulting on new roles

    • Partner closely with our Talent team to help Mattermost hire the very best talent internationally and our Payroll team to ensure right outcomes for employees, while leveraging external vendors and partners as resources






Required Background



    • 5+ years in a total rewards role with strong knowledge of compensation practices and principles

    • Proven track record and strong motivation for creating and managing innovative international total rewards programs in a fast-paced work environment; comfortable with building out of the box total rewards solutions to solve problems

    • Ability to build staff-centric and inclusive rewards programs while balancing business goals and financial boundaries

    • Excellent analytical and critical thinking skills, able to present data and recommendations in an easy to understand, organized, and logical manner

    • Openness to driving change, be flexible and able to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment

    • Excellent interpersonal skills and a strong communicator, both verbally and written

    • Ability to successfully build relationships at all levels across the organization
