About the Role:

 


Flockjay is looking for a Recruiter to join our team and work to ensure that we are sourcing, interviewing, and hiring the most mission-driven, creative, and collaborative talent possible. We are going through a period of high growth and as our Recruiter you will be planting the seeds for Flockjay’s bright future -- we put our people above all else and we need your help finding the very best!  



This is an exciting opportunity for someone who is looking to gain broad exposure to recruiting at an early-stage, high-growth startup and take on a lot of ownership. In this position you will report directly to our Head of People & Talent. This position is remotely-friendly within North America however we are unable to provide visa sponsorship at this time.



What You’ll Do:



    • Own the full lifecycle recruiting process across multiple teams & roles

    • Work closely with our team leads to deeply understand our hiring needs and promote growth throughout the company

    • Provide a personalized & thoughtful experience for every candidate from application to start date

    • Source passive candidates

    • Manage multiple candidate channels and recruiting campaigns




What You’ll Bring:



    • Relevant experience - you have 1+ years of Recruiting, Recruiting Coordinator, or related experience

    • Passion for education and providing access to economic opportunity for people from non-traditional and underrepresented backgrounds

    • Scrappiness - you understand the hustle of working at an early-stage, high-growth startup and are motivated by the impact you make

    • Grit - you’re willing to take initiative and work autonomously knowing you have the full support of the team

    • EQ + IQ - we value emotional intelligence & empathy and you can understand where our community members are coming from

    • Optimism & Energy - your energy and enthusiasm for our mission and our candidates are contagious

    • Bonus Points - experience with Lever; recruiting in a fast-paced startup environment; prior visibility into or experience with People Operations and/or Diversity & Inclusion initiatives

    • Passionate about sourcing diverse talent (our team is currently 70+% BIPOC, 20+% LGBTQ+, etc.) as hiring underrepresented & non-traditional candidates is a top KPI for this role & our company - we strive to walk the walk!

    • Looking for growth - we anticipate this position growing into a Recruiting/Talent Acquisition Manager someday as we continue to scale

    • A positive & encouraging force with the ability to pivot at a moments notice
