UI / Front End Developer (100% Remote)

Mapleton Hill Media is seeking a UI / Front-End Developer to join our team. Mapleton Hill developers work on a variety of projects throughout the year exposing them to new technologies. You'll be working in small teams, with ownership over projects, to deliver high quality results for our clients. For this position we're looking for experienced developers who, while primarily coding, can lead software teams and mentor younger developers.

Skills & Requirements

What it's like to work at Mapleton Hill

  • You'll be working on development teams of 2 - 6 developers

  • You'll be working in an Agile Scrum environment

  • You'll typically be working on one project at a time

  • You'll be communicating directly with clients

  • You'll be writing code, unit testing, and doing peer code reviews

  • You'll be working on projects that typically last between 3 - 9 months

Required skills

  • JavaScript (React, Node, or Vue)

  • HTML / CSS / SASS (Responsive Development)

  • Passion for pixel perfect code

  • Solid understanding of browser and mobile UI behavior

  • Experience with frontend testing frameworks

Bonus points if you know or have used

  • Sitecore

  • Selenium

  • React,React Native, Vue, or Angular

  • ASP.NET / C# / MVC

  • Azure Cloud

  • Xamarin or Native Mobile App Development

Our Hiring Process

Step 2: Phone Interview - If we like what we see, we'll reach out to schedule a quick phone interview. On this call we will ask about your past work experience as well as some technical questions.

Step 3: Frontend Coding Exercise - If we feel that you have the relevant experience we will send you our take-home frontend coding exercise. This is your opportunity to show us what clean code looks like to you.

Step 4: JavaScript Pair Programming - The last step in our hiring process is a JavaScript pair programing exercise. We have our applicants join an online meeting, write a little code, and discuss it with us. We're curious to see how you solve problems and to talk about the decisions you make when programming.
